NORM NARDINI, “PITTSBURGH’S LOVE DOG” CELEBRATES 50 YEARS ALONG WITH THE S.P.U.D.S. AT SYRIA SHRINE PAVILION CONCERT
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — It is only fitting that a tribute be held for a man who has spent his life as a living tribute of Pittsburgh. On September 8th, 2018 at the Syria Shriners Pavilion, starting at 4:00 PM, fans of Norm Nardini will gather to pay tribute to this “Legendary Local” as he celebrates 50 years of rockin’ Pittsburgh. The concert featuring Norm Nardini and his current bandmates will share the stage with “The S.P.U.D.S.”, a popular zany group of musicians, who since the 80’s have been playing original tunes with a twist of humor and hilarity. The S.P.U.D.S.,  Also, on tap, Bill Toms and Hard Rain accompanied by The Soulville Horns. The concert will include a full lineup of other local performers for a full evening of Pittsburgh-based talent to say thank you to Norm and his life long commitment to music and Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh Blues and Root Festival Promoter Ron “Moondog” Esser commented; “Norman is truly the uncrowned King…His music represents true Pittsburgh Rock and Roll…blue collar…down and dirty”
The Syria Shrine Pavilion is located in Cheswick, PA at 1877 Shriners Way. Doors open at 2:30 PM at the Syria Shrine Pavilion with plenty of free parking. Tickets can be purchased online at www.moondog.us in advance for $15 or $17 at the gate.
If there was a Pittsburgh Music “Ironman Award”, it most likely would go to Norm. Never taking much of a break for 50 years, his stamina and resilience are unmatched. The hardest-working rocker in Pittsburgh began his career as a bass player for Diamond Reo and still hasn’t put on the brakes.
