WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DIAPER BANK ANNOUNCES FUNDRAISERS
WPADB is Supporting Mothers Throughout the Months of May and June
PITTSBURGH, PA, May 10, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank (WPADB) is announcing exciting fundraising opportunities supporting mothers and women in the region. These efforts will provide diapers to families struggling to keep their babies in diapers and period products to those experiencing period poverty.
Bingo for Babies: Mother’s Day Edition is Saturday, May 13 at Youngwood VFD. This event will support the Diaper Bank’s Mt. Pleasant Hub, which provides products to over 1,000 Westmoreland and Fayette families.
Mothers will experience a lovely Mother’s Day Breakfast at the White Valley AMVETS on Sunday, May 14. This Export-based organization is accepting reservations through May 12 at 724-327-9919 (after 3 pm).
A Pampered Chef fundraiser is running through May 17 and participants will be entered for a chance to win a stand mixer when they make a $35 or more purchase.
Fifty specialty items are up for bid through Mac Bid, an online auction site, from May 15 to May 22. Mac Bid starts every bid at $1, with no reserve price.
The WPADB will take over Kendra Scott’s Walnut Street location for a fundraising experience on June 6 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Shoppers can enjoy refreshments while shopping in person or make online purchases. Kendra will donate 20% to WPADB.

The Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. They are an affiliate of the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN), a nonprofit organization established in 2012. The NDBN is dedicated to ensuring every baby in the United States can be clean, dry, and healthy. WPADB, a member of the Alliance for Period Supplies and U by Kotex, also addresses period poverty. Period poverty is defined as a lack of access to menstrual products, sanitation facilities, and adequate education.
