YASU AND 100.7 STAR PITTSBURGH JOIN FORCES FOR A SPOOKTACULAR EVENING TO SUPPORT YOUNG ADULT CANCER PATIENTS

PITTSBURGH, PA, October 3, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Get ready to wig out for a good cause! Young Adult Survivors United and 100.7 Star Pittsburgh are thrilled to announce a spine-tingling, hair-raising event set to be the highlight of this Halloween season. The “Wig Out Halloween Party” invites everyone 21 and over to join the frightful fun, don their spookiest or colorful wigs or even full costumes, all while supporting cancer patients in need of wigs due to their cancer treatments.

“The Wig Out Halloween Party is Pittsburgh’s biggest Halloween event, celebrating cancer survivorships and kicking off the holiday in a fun way that supports a unique local cancer charity: Young Adult Survivors United,” says founder and executive director Stephanie Samolovitch. The annual Wig Out is open to the public 21 and older on Friday, Oct. 27 in the second-floor ballroom of Rivers Casino. Doors are open from 6 to 10 p.m. Last year, 600 guests attended this sold out event.

“The Wig Out raises funds for local young adult cancer patients/survivors to receive age appropriate services that meet their emotional, social, and financial needs,” Samolovitch adds. “It’s a unique organization that hosts a community for those diagnosed between ages 18 and 39. You can learn more about YASU and purchase tickets now by visiting our website: yasurvivors.org”.

The event includes a best wig contest, dance floor, free vendor samplings, a performance by The Pittsburgh Samba Group, live speed paintings and auction by Cody Sabol, a cancer survivor dedication, and much more!
