MULTIPLYING GOOD ANNOUNCES SPRING 2024 CLASS OF CHANGEMAKERS
PITTSBURGH, PA, February 1, 2024 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Multiplying Good Pittsburgh’s goal is to cultivate the next generation of servant leaders in Southwest PA. The organization is pleased to announce the Spring 2024 Pittsburgh Class of ChangeMakers – community leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to service & the potential to truly move our community forward.
The Spring 2024 Pittsburgh ChangeMakers class kicked off with an orientation & networking event on Friday January 26, 2024, at Ascender Co-Working Space in East Liberty area of Pittsburgh, followed by a reception for each of the honorees & their guests. Throughout the spring, ChangeMakers will work both individually & as a cohort to raise support for Students In Action, Multiplying Good’s youth leadership development program that uses service-learning to prepare students for their futures.
Each month, the ChangeMakers will participate in volunteer, community, & other networking activities to raise awareness for Students In Action & inspire the community to do their part. The program will culminate in May 2024 with a celebration event recognizing each of the honorees with a Jefferson Award as well as celebrating how they have made a difference across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Since 1972 Multiplying Good has recognized a host of national public figures with the Jefferson Award for their outstanding contributions to our country & its communities. Nationally, the Jefferson Award is the country’s highest honor for service & volunteerism, & our honorees — individuals including Harry Belafonte, Oprah Winfrey, Elie Wiesel, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Venus Williams, & Bill & Melinda Gates — make up a storied group of American heroes whose dedication to service has inspired others to lead.
