STRIP DISTRICT: PRO BIKE+RUN TO HOST 2ND ANNUAL SPIN CITY RELAYS TO SUPPORT URBAN IMPACT

PITTSBURGH, PA, Feb 12, 2025 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — On February 22, 2025, Pro Bike+Run of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will host the 2nd Annual Spin City Relays, a fundraising event to benefit Urban Impact, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting at-risk students in Pittsburgh’s North Side. The event aims to raise funds for the Urban Impact Foundation (UIF) Athletics, a program that empowers local students through sports and mentorship.

Founded in 1995 by Pastor Ed and Tammy Glover, Urban Impact reaches thousands of students in Pittsburgh. In the past year alone, the organization impacted 2,370 students and provided 42,000 meals to students and their families. The Spin City Relays is designed to help raise much-needed funds for these initiatives, with a goal of raising $30,000, which will allow Urban Impact to support at least 300 students.

Teams competing in the Spin City Relays will consist of 4 to 8 participants who will take turns riding stationary bikes in 15-minute intervals. The event will last for 4 hours, and each team has a fundraising minimum of $600. Prizes will be awarded to the team that rides the furthest, the team that raises the most money, and the individual who raises the most money.

“Your participation and support will make a real difference for students in Pittsburgh who need it the most,” said Craig Cozza(Owner of Pro Bike and Run). “Every $100 raised supports a student’s participation in the UIF Athletics program. This is an exciting opportunity for our community to come together for a great cause.”
