Pittsburgh-Dublin Brew Collaboration Celebrates Upcoming Steelers Game

According to Steelers.com, September 28 will be the first time a regular-season NFL game is played at historic Croke Park in Dublin. The Pittsburgh Steelers will serve as the home team for this event, hosting the Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff takes place at 9:30 a.m. EST (2:30 p.m. in Ireland). Strong ties among the Steelers Nation, the Rooney family, and their ancestral home in Ireland inspired both this special matchup and a unique beer.

Angela Wyman, co-owner of Tortured Souls Brewing, says “a long-standing friendship led to an introduction between our two breweries. From there, the collab was born!” After many planning calls and emails, Angela’s spouse and business partner, Scott Wyman, traveled to Ireland in mid-August to brew on site with the team at Hope Beer.

At Tortured Souls, Renegade will debut on game day at the brewpub’s location, 715 Craigdell Road in New Kensington. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. on September 28 so that football fans can come early and stay for the whole game.  Evolution Grille, located inside Tortured Souls, will offer up a delicious breakfast buffet to fuel fans that morning.

Additionally, The Bald Eagle, a pub about a mile from Croke Park, will serve as the flagship pub for Renegade overseas, and they are planning a launch party for the beer on Friday, September 26. The Bald Eagle will, of course, also air the game and serve Renegade throughout the entire week leading up to the game.
