PITTSBURGH, PA, April 6, 2026 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Father-daughter creative team Frank and Marlo Schiffman have brought suspense to life in Two Black Hearts, a new podcast episode that explores friendship, rivalry, jealousy, and betrayal. Written and produced by the Schiffmans, the story blends psychological tension, business conflict, and the eerie backdrop of caving into a dramatic audio experience that leaves listeners with a haunting final question.

Marlo Schiffman began writing short stories and poetry during her undergraduate years at Michigan State University, where she earned her degree in Supply Chain. “I wrote the initial draft of Two Black Hearts in my junior year after reading an article about spelunking,” Marlo said. “I called my dad to discuss the plot, and together we refined and expanded the story.” Three years later, Frank adapted that story into a podcast episode for his Out-Of-Place short story series.

Two Black Hearts follows Kim Burns and Katie Sinclair, best friends, colleagues, and rivals at the Braverton-Temple advertising agency in Charleston, West Virginia. Smart, ambitious, athletic, and fiercely competitive, the two women appear evenly matched on the surface. But as hidden truths emerge, their bond begins to fracture, sending both down a dark path toward betrayal and mutual destruction.

Out-Of-Place podcasts draw from Frank Schiffman’s business and life experiences, blended with fictional stories and commentary. The series explores how changing times, habits, and technologies shape the way people connect with one another.

Two Black Hearts is available on major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and iHeartRadio, and at www.OutOfPlacePodcasts.com.
