For National Women’s Health Month this May, Magee-Womens Research Institute has created a social media driven challenge called the #MomsRockChallenge.
Participants are asked to honor the moms and strong women in their lives by making a video in which they play music for or with their mom, dance, or even just dedicate a song to her. Post it on social media, then make a donation to Magee-Womens Research Institute, tagging and challenging others to do the same.
This Saturday, May 16th, at 7pm the #MomsRockChallenge is teaming up with 102.5 FM WDVE for a Facebook livestream event. Chad Tyson’s Stayin’ Home N’at will be live presenting the best Pittsburgh #MomsRockChallenge videos, live from the WDVE Facebook page.
Magee-Womens Research Institute CEO, Michael Annichine, will kick off the show live. Chad will feature the best #MomsRockChallenge videos and songs from Clinton Clegg of the Commonheart, Jon Belan of Gene the Werewolf, Jay Wiley of the Hawkeyes, Jenn Wertz of Rusted Root, Randy Baumann and Chad Tyson of WDVE, and Melinda Colaizzi Founder of Women who Rock.
