NORTH COUNTRY BREWING COMPANY TEAMS UP WITH MELINDA & THE NIGHT SKY FOR A SPECIAL EDITION BEER
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — North Country Brewing Company has partnered with Pittsburgh-based band Melinda and The Night Sky, for a limited edition Helles Bock Style Lager craft beer.
A twist on a German Maibock, this beer was brewed with the traditional German malts, but was hopped with the Pink Boots Society hop blend to 23 IBU’s. It was also brewed with a touch of Hibiscus to give it a subtle pink hue.
North Country Brewing Company, based in Slippery Rock, PA, opened their doors in 2005. Owners Jodi and Bob could not have expected the local demand for good craft beer, nor the overwhelming support they received from the community. Over the years, their brewpub has featured over 100 different types of beers, ranging from traditional reds and stouts to more outlandish and experimental brews.

Melinda & The Night Sky are a blues-infused rock band based in Pittsburgh, PA, that blends their reverence for traditional blues and heavy rock with their love for modern hip-hop and soul. The Night Sky’s depth is evident in a single downbeat from guitarist Kristian Habenicht’s playing which immediately conjures images of Prince and Jimi Hendrix, and lead singer Melinda Colaizzi’s indomitable voice, thunderous presence, redolent of past greats like Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.
Melinda Colaizzi is also the Founder of Women Who Rock™, which hosts a stellar annual benefit concert uniting some of the biggest women in music to raise funds for women’s health research.

Melinda & The Night Sky will also be holding a special Facebook live stream happy hour concert streamed in partnership with North Country Brewing on Friday, September 4.
