WASHINGTON COUNTY FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHER HOSTS PET CONTEST TO BENEFIT VET PETS
Shari Lynn Fine Art Portraits Creates Pet Photo Contest to Support Veterans and Service Pets

PITTSBURGH, PA, (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Pittsburgh’s premier award-winning pet photographer, Shari Brownlee of Shari Lynn Fine Art Portraits has partnered with Vet Pets for her first pet calendar contest fundraiser to raise $10,000 for this Veteran service dog-focused charity.

Pittsburgh pet owners may enter their furry friend in this online contest by submitting a photo along with a $5 entry fee that is donated directly to Vet Pets to help the charity continue its efforts. Entries and votes will be accepted from March 11 to April 12, 2024, and will be used to help determine the top 13 grand prize winners that will be photographed by Shari Lynn Fine Art Portraits during a professional in-studio photography session to capture their image for the 2025 Vet Pets pet calendar. The highest vote-getter will be featured on the coveted cover spot. A reserve-a-grid-space option for $10 is also available for those who wish to purchase an empty grid space and guarantee their pet a small square in the 2025 calendar.

“This is my first year hosting this contest and collaborating with Vet Pets,” Brownlee said. “I believe in their mission of providing service dogs to Veterans and I feel moved by their Three Pillars of Success way of thinking.”

The calendar contest fundraising goal is set at $10,000—all of which will benefit Vet Pets and support those three pillars of Events and Awareness Activities, Training and Education, and Fundraising and Corporate Events.

Brownlee adds that several Washington County-based small businesses have stepped up to donate over $1,000 in weekly mini-contest prizes for even more fun and increased participation.

Copies of the 2025 Vet Pet’s pet calendar will be available in mid-September 2024 once Brownlee completes photographing all 13 grand prize winners.
