MEALS & HOPE: A VIRTUAL EVENT DURING THIS TIME OF CRISIS

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Meals & Hope, a virtual event presented by Vagabond Missions will be held May 6th at 7 PM EST.  This immediate in-person impact fundraising event will provide restaurant prepared meals as encouragement and support while bringing together donors to witness this experience.  Vagabond Missions is partnering with Chef Claudy M. Pierre of Arnold’s Coffee & Tea to provide over 400 restaurant prepared meals to families in the Hill District, Garfield, Sharpsburg, and Allentown.

Missionaries will deliver multiple meals to the inner-city teens and families in the communities that Vagabond Missions serves.  These deliveries will be streamed at the event.  In addition, there will be a musical appearance by Christian singer and songwriter Matt Maher.  Matt has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards in his career and was awarded the Songwriter of the Year for an artist, at the 2015 GMA Dove Awards.  Also, on the program is guest speaker Fr. Josh Johnson and Vagabond Mission’s President Andy Lesnefsky.
