PITTSBURGH SKI CLUB CELEBRATES 76 YEARS

Pittsburgh, PA
(PittsburghNewsWire.com) — In Preparation for 76 years of fun on & off the slopes, the Pittsburgh Ski Club will celebrate their 76th Anniversary/Holiday Party on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Cambria Suites Pittsburgh at Consol Energy.

The evening will start with cocktails at 6:30, followed by a sit down dinner at 7:15. The evening will cap off with dancing until midnight. The party is open to all members, guests and the general public.

The Pittsburgh Ski Club was founded on the evening of December 10, 1937, by three avid skiers Bill Albert, Al Black, and Lars Eckwurtzel as a non-profit organization to encourage skiing through instruction, ski trips, and racing programs. The club is the second oldest ski club in Pennsylvania, and has a current membership of over 400 active adult and children. Some of our members are from out of state, and join the club just to go on one of our weeklong ski trips.

Today, the PSC with over 400 members (adults & children) offers year-round activities on and off the slopes for its members and guests. The emphasis is not only on skiing/snowboarding but on a variety of sporting activities (biking, golfing, volleyball) and travel and social events. On Tuesday, December 10, 2032, the Club begins the yearlong countdown to the Clubs 76th Anniversary, with monthly specials and activities.
